COHORTONS: food porn - now with erotica
The Roost : gorgeous pictures of delicious food I probably will never have the discipline to make, complete with (occasionally) stream of conscious style prose.

Apparently the author is a photographer (who’d a thought!?) who, due to her husband’s Crohn’s cooks a gluten/grain/sugar/dairy free diet; apparently this is a scientifically suspect system called the specific carbohydrate diet. That being said, I still can’t believe she’s made food without all of those things that I still think looks delicious.

Spam makes a cameo appearance in the duo’s unconventional book The Art of Living According to Joe Beef: A Cookbook of Sorts, a widely anticipated tome written with one of their original Joe Beef staff members, Meredith Erickson, released this month. The heavily processed pork is recommended as an ingredient in their oeufs en gelée recipe. Like other recipes in their book, such as “pork fish sticks,” “kale for a hangover” and “smoked cheddar with doughnuts,” this is not intellectual food. Their food aims straight for the gut.
